Reaction to Projects

Which class project, besides your own, did you learn the most from or had the most effect on your thinking? Why?

  • I think the project on abortion made a lasting impression because it was creative, controversial, and fun to watch. The project led to an interesting discussion on abortion. It was interesting to hear everyone's comments and views on abortion since it is such a controversial topic. Overall, I enjoyed their video a lot.

  • I would say I learned the most from the abortion project. I thought that the statistics the group presented were very interesting.

  • The abortion project intrigued me the most. It presented both sides of the story, and although the video did seem heavily biased towards pro-choice, it presented to me startling statistics that I never knew, such as the number of abortions world wide and the rate of abortions per day. The video accomplished its goal of sparking a discussion on abortion, despite its controversy.

  • I think i learned the most from the fun presidential fact jeopardy game. It was a creative way to show us things we probably did not know before about some of our old presidents. It was interesting and everyone participated in the game, and was having a lot of fun trying to get the answers. I never knew before that Obama's first job was at Baskin Robbins.

  • i think the presidential trivia was the best because it had unique facts about the presidents instead of the same old ones; however Katie's group made some pretty good cupcakes

  • Personally i really liked the presentation on the worlds worst leaders. I thought it was really interesting seeing all of the statistics on how many people they have killed compared to one another. The numbers were shockingly high for all of the leaders they put on the board. Also, i thought it was really funny how John made (stalin?) look like mario. hahaha

  • I learned the most from the president jepordy game. It was a interactive way to learn about the presidents. The group presented facts that we don't exactly learn in US History so it was fun hearing interesting stories about the presidents.

  • I would have to say that the world's worst Monsters was really interesting. I was very surprised in that we would immediately conclude that Hitler was the worst one of them all, but in fact it was Mao who was worse. The monster cupcakes were really cute too!

  • There were many projects that i learned from. Two in particular would be the jeporady game and then the one on the death penalty. The death penalty is a very contoversaial topic and it was interesting to hear everyones view points about it and then the accyual facts.

  • I would have to say the project on abortion infromed me the most. The facts and statistics the girls presented along with an entertaining presentation really helped inform me about information i was not even aware of! Great job girls!

  • I enjoyed the presentation on the Roosevelts. Elenor Roosevelt is one of my favorite people in history and FDR is my favorite president. It was really interesting to learn things about them that I did not know before the project.

  • I learned a lot about Katie and Sammy's Andrew Jackson project, because instead of a broad topic they picked a specific person so the facts and overall project was very in depth. However, i did enjoy the abortion video because in incorporated humor...katie lown

  • I was surprised to hear some of the facts from the presidential trivia project. It was very interesting, informative, and also, it was funny to hear some of the outrageous things.

  • I learned a lot from the abortion project . Even though it was a topic that is kind of familiar they gave a lot of good facts and the arguments they made were legit and made me really open my eyes on the topic .

  • The abortion project definitely had the best balance of educational substance, as well as being interesting and humorous. I learned much from it as well. Seeing as it led to a discussion on the topic, I believe that it was a good project.

  • I think the abortion project was the best one presented. It was well done, very informative, and very funny. By using music video technique they caught the attention of the whole class.

  • I favored the music video on abortion. It gave both reasons for and against abortion, but in the end favored pro-life. I think this project was well done and most memorable.
